SOMATIC & BODYWORK

$120 FOR 60 MINUTES / $150 FOR 75 MINUTES
Michelle is committed to holding a supported and empathetic space of presence during each session.

With Somatic Experiencing, healing and nervous system repair are within reach. Whether you are dealing with stress, anxiety, chronic or acute pain, or navigating life events (big or small) habitual tension can be exhausting.
SE gently guides you into your own felt sense of the present moment, offering a supported way to approach the body with curiosity and care, opening to the possibility of ease. Learning (or relearning) how to heed our body’s signals can provide sweet relief.
What are the roots of this practice?
Somatic Experiencing® is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and stress developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It focuses on tracking sensations in the body and supporting the nervous system’s natural capacity to self-regulate and heal. Unlike traditional talk therapy, SE works with the body’s felt sense to help release trapped survival energy and restore natural resilience. Sessions involve gentle awareness practices, movement, and breathing techniques that help your nervous system find its way back to balance and safety.
Can SE sessions be virtual/remote?
Yes! We offer comprehensive remote healing sessions that provide the same quality of care and attention as in-person work. Virtual sessions are conducted through secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms to protect your privacy. While we can’t use physical touch in virtual sessions, somatic work is highly effective online through guided awareness practices, breathing techniques, movement, and verbal support. Many clients find virtual sessions especially comfortable as they’re in their own safe space. We’ll help you set up a supportive environment and provide all the guidance you need to have a meaningful healing experience from wherever you are. We also offer ongoing workshops both in-person and remote.
What does a session look like?
Your first session will begin with a conversation about your goals, concerns, and what brings you to somatic work. We’ll discuss your history and current challenges in a safe, non-judgmental space. The session includes an explanation of how somatic work functions and what you might experience. We’ll work at a gentle pace that respects your comfort level and boundaries. Sessions are fully clothed and focus on awareness, gentle movement, and breathing. You may notice sensations, emotions, or memories arising – all of which are welcomed and supported. We’ll end with integration time to help you feel grounded and centered.

What are the roots of this practice?
Michelle’s approach is rooted in somatic traditions, informed by decades of nervous system research. It honors the body’s natural rhythms, protective strategies, and the subtle currents that support resilience, integration, and a return to balance. Every session is guided by the body’s own intelligence.
The approach is subtle, precise, and collaborative— touch, movement and breath create a dialogue where
the nervous system can reorganize, patterns can complete, and the soma can reclaim a sense of flow. The work is guided by principles that integrate body-based touch, subtle energy flows, and the wisdom of both ancient and modern therapeutic traditions.
This approach allows each session to remain intuitive, dynamic, and deeply responsive to the unique needs of the individual.

What does a session look like?
Sessions are slow, grounded, and collaborative. Michelle listens deeply to the language of the body, using a touch that’s light, yet intentional—just enough to invite your system toward steadier rhythms, without pushing or demanding change.

Integrative bodywork is not about pushing for something new, but rather, creating room for what’s already there, helping you expand into new possibilities and deeper connections with yourself and others.
